Faith In America Founder and Board Chair Mitchell Gold was a guest on NPR's Weekend Edition Sunday and discussed the recently passed anti-LGBT law in North Carolina, which restricts cities from passing nondiscrimination laws and prevents trans people from using bathrooms that match their gender identity.
"I'm concerned about a 15- or 16-year-old kid. When I was 15, 16 years old, I was scared. I was tortured. I cried myself to sleep every night because I thought I was broken. I thought God didn't love me. And that's - that's who I'm worried about..."
